NaNoWriMo
#NaNoWriMo I am continuing where i left off last year and I am in a bit of a writing and re reading frenzy. Took awhile to connect again with my characters. I like the cold winter months to write and since my story takes place in the middle of a snowstorm it makes the writing a little easier.
My favourite character is Opal Byers who was a chain smoking wine drinking woman living on welfare and she is trying to get back into the nursing field. My main character Unix I kind of like also as she is a free spirit living like she pleases despite a pampered upbringing.
The other main character Seth is a bit of a idiot. The more I write about him the more i dislike him.
I have a hard time writing dialogue. The punctuation is tricky and trying to make it sound real is a challenge.
Every character has issues but there is not one big compelling crisis as of yet. I hope to stumble upon that. So for those who like to use outlines. The more power to you. I just write and let the story tell itself.
