Best Beer of 2011 -2012 Nice to Meet You.
Yesterday I ran a half marathon with my wife. it was her first half marathon. We mapped out a course and ran it. Who needs entry fees. It was all about her however it was fun for me just watching her confidence never falter. She mapped out the end of the course so that we finished at the Moon and Sixpence. It is an easy walk home, I ordered a pilsner for her and and HopStoopid for myself. And of the numerous beers I have consumed this year my “Hop Stoopid” was my favourite of the year. I was very proud of Jenna after the run.
Today I did my thing and ran Rocky Butte. I do it every year just like people in Pennsyvania eat Pork and Sauerkraut on New Years Day. Like sauerkraut, i abhorred Rocky Butte for awhile. My running wasn’t going well enough to enjoy it. Today it felt like mere a ceremony going into a new year. The run to the top was tough, difficult in a way that you like it. Just like my wife’s half marathon yesterday.
We did have Sauerkraut today. All the kids were home and we made delicious Ruebens. Vegan versions for my wife and I. Her and i make a really great team. I hope the kids years from now have the memory of a great afternoon and carry on our quirky little traditions.
