Cleaning out The Frig (Veggies Beware)
I made #Vegan Lentil soup last night that probably did not have enough Lentils. We were out of most staples so I sauteed finely chopped celery, carrots, and diakon in a little olive oil. Added some Braggs and one vegetable Bullion cube that was in the cabinet. I believe I added a little brown sugar, curry powder, pepper and stirred it all with a stalk of lemon grass. Close enough for Clean out the fridge day as who knows what will be in stock the next time I do this. I added potatoes, Kale, red and green lentils and rice.
It was pretty darn good. That’s my job sometimes, cleaning out the Frig and getting dinner ready. I like it because I don’t have to follow a recipe.
To add to the challenge our BigBlackBearPup was running amok. Cooking with a puppy in the kitchen is quite the challenge.
